Mungret St. Pauls 3-4 Pallasgreen 3-9

This was a physical game with our U-13 players up against 14 year olds, they did not let their height get to them and played a great game right up to the final whistle.

Pallasgreen got off to a good start scoring 2 points before Mungret St. Pauls denied their first attempt on a goal.A second chance on a goal was saved again by Mungret St. Pauls but the rebound was delivered to the back of the goal to put a 5 score difference between the two teams. On the seventh minute of the game Mungret St. Pauls got a free that they pointed. Mungret St. Pauls went for a chance for goal but it was saved, a second attempt was struck off the upright and landed at the feet of a Mungret St. Pauls player that kicked the ball into the back of the net to bring them back into the game. A point a piece before Mungret St. Pauls attacked the goal again on a rebound from a goal save the ball was seen to the Pallasgreen goal, this was the first lead Mungret St. Pauls had in the game but was not to last long as a point for Mungret St. Pauls and a goal for Pallasgreen leveled the playing field. 2 wides for Pallasgreen was followed up with a free pointed for them but just before they separated for half time, Mungret St. Pauls slotted another point over the bar.

Pallasgreen directed the game in the second half with Mungret St. Pauls filling in the gaps. Pallasgreen scored a goal to restart the second half. Mungret St. Pauls foiled a second attempt for a goal for Pallasgreen. Pallasgreen scored 3 points to widen the gap. A free for Mungret St. Pauls developed into their third goal and final score of the game. Pallasgreen scored 2 final points from frees to end the game. This game showed great skill and determination for our players, having recently won the U-13 Division 1 cup they don’t finish the year empty handed.
