Mungret St. Pauls 4-13 Galbally 1-0
On a very sunny Wednesday, 30 May in Croagh the U-14 girls found them selves in another final, this time a Camogie one for the plate. This as it turned out was a very one sided scoring game but there was a lot of work from both teams on the pitch. There was some fantastic strikes, catches, blocks and free taking it was hard to believe they were only U-14.
Mungret St. Pauls were dominant from the off and used their great team work well calling for the ball and talking to each other, all passes were definite ones but Galbally were quick off the mark as well taking control of the ball on the pitch nut failing to get to the final destination as the Mungret St. Pauls backs pulled together and build up a very strong defense only letting one ball slip through to the net early in the game it was not going to happen a second time.
Wile Mungret St. Pauls won the plate it was team work and commitment that won over all. This team will grow stronger and be one to watch. Well done to all the players, coaches, parents and water girls who all had a part to play in this final.
