The juvenile club hosted their medal presentation on Friday 3 January in the club house. Club Chairman, Brian O’Halloran started the proceedings as he welcomed everyone and wished all the players the best of luck in the season ahead.
Liam O’Gorman gave Liam O’Donoghue a great introduction as he took over the mike to say his few words on his thoughts of how the teams played during the year, that they were an impressive group to watch play. Liam O’Donodghue also gave a few words of encouragement to the players for the season ahead and indeed for their future in playing as senior players with the club. Paul Walsh was called up to help Liam O’Donoghue present the U-14 Footballers their medals.
When the players had received their medals, Liam O’Gorman explained how the U-16 footballers and hurlers have won for many consecutive years and not by luck but by sheer hard work. Each player was then called up individually to accept their medals from Liam O’Donoghue.
Liam O’Gorman then reminded each player it is their club as well as it is the coaches and supporters club and they need to look out for each other and help each other along.
The Juvenile Chairman, John Rochford had a few words to say to close the night out as he congratulated the players for all their hard work which payed off for them and he reminded players to talk to each other and mind each other through the years ahead.
Thank you to everyone who attended on the night.
