Mungret St. Pauls 3-8 Ahane 1-2
On Sunday 22 April the U-14 Ladies Footballers took on Ahane in the Féile final in Mungret. Against a very strong wind in the first half the girls held their composure and kept in reach of their opponents who led at half time by 2 points.
The overcast grey skies and showers did not dampen these girls hopes of victory as they took to the pitch for the second half with a determined attitude and played a skillful second half where the ball barely left the Mungret St. Pauls forwards. A goal early in the restart saw a lift in the girls spirits and the supporters encouragement helped speed the pace of the game.
The defense line of Mungret St. Pauls were not going to let anything through when the final whistle blew and the girls were confirmed winners of the Eileen Caromdy Memorial cup and to represent Limerick in the Féile 2018 on 29 June.
Well done to the girls, coaches and everyone who supported them in their goal.
Mungret St. Pauls 5-5 Monagea 2-2
Mungret St. Pauls transferred their home pitch to the Crescent Comprehensive school for their match against Monagea on Wednesday 4 April. Mungret St. Pauls played a strong match and lead from the off. There was some great foot and hand passes up worked up and down the pitch. A great performance from this team of girls.
